IChemE (Institution of Chemical Engineers) is the global professional body for chemical, biochemical and process engineers, supporting a network of around 32,000 members in more than 100 countries. We champion chemical engineering's contribution to society and support engineers who are helping to solve some of the world's biggest challenges, from climate change and clean energy to sustainable manufacturing and resource management.

Through DiscoverChemEng, our schools outreach programme, we help teachers and careers advisers show students that chemical engineering is everywhere and that chemical engineers are at the heart of engineering a sustainable future. We provide free careers resources, classroom activities, employer engagement opportunities, and a Virtual Work Experience programme on Springpod that helps students aged 14-18 explore career pathways, develop career awareness, and gain insight into real-world engineering challenges.
