James Garnett is a senior education digital strategy and governance adviser with over 30 years’ experience at trust and board level. He works with executive teams and senior leaders to align digital policy, safeguarding, behaviour and wellbeing into coherent, trust-wide strategies that enable consistent leadership decision-making. 
His current work includes shaping trust-level approaches to mobile phone policy, using phone pouch programmes as part of wider cultural and strategic change rather than standalone interventions. James previously served as Director of IT at United Learning and led the DfE’s EdTech Demonstrator Programme.
