Jenn is CEO of Northern Star Academies Trust (NSAT), a diverse and highly inclusive family of 15 Primary and Secondary schools, located across rural and urban North Yorkshire to inner city Bradford in West Yorkshire, educating approximately 7,000 children aged 2 to 18.
With more than three decades in secondary education, she has taught and led in six Local Authorities, from the Isle of Wight to North Yorkshire. Her career has included headship at Skipton Girls’ High School and leadership of a School‑Centred Initial Teacher Training programme, and a Cohort 2 Teaching School Alliance. These experiences have shaped a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the education system nationally.
"At NSAT, our mission‑led approach places environmental sustainability and climate change education at the heart of our 2030 Strategy. We are embedding climate‑adapted curriculum pathways and evidence‑informed pedagogies that equip children to thrive in a rapidly changing world. This commitment reflects our belief that schools must prepare young people not only academically, but as informed, ethical, and environmentally conscious citizens."
Jenn is a proud mum to teenage boys, a practising artist-printmaker, and a committed environmentalist.
