Leading a multi-academy trust of 17 East Midlands schools, Kath has considerable experience of taking on schools facing a multitude of challenges – from low attainment through to ageing estates - and working with the schools to achieve improvement. In 2025, Kath also became one of the Department for Education’s first RISE Advisors. The combination of many years of classroom teaching and leading schools, coupled with a degree in finance and business, has given Kath an expert understanding of all aspects of school improvement. 

With a drive to do what’s right, rather than what’s easy, Kath has improved the educational provision of many young people.
