Lynsey Holzer is CEO of the Active Learning Trust, a values‑driven family of 21 schools across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Since joining in January 2023, she has steered the trust towards significant improvement and has strengthened leadership at school and trust level.

Lynsey brings extensive expertise in leadership and school improvement, gained through previous roles as a trust leader, headteacher and Ofsted inspector, along with a passion for championing staff development and creating cultures where both teachers and pupils thrive. Under her leadership, Active Learning Trust has embedded more robust, data‑informed systems to strengthen teaching, reduce workload and improve outcomes. Staff have also benefited from adopting a coaching culture and from using Insights Discovery to enhance working relationships and team effectiveness.

At MAT Excellence in Action, Lynsey will share insights on the importance of maintaining a focus on staff development and being guided by trust-wide values.
