Rachel has been teaching since 1998, initially in North London and then in a number of schools in East Sussex. She has served as a designated safeguarding lead (DSL) for more than 15 years and for a decade as a headteacher.
For the past three years, Rachel has worked as a senior safeguarding lead within a large academy trust comprising 45 schools across South East England. In this role, she has designed and delivered a wide range of safeguarding training programmes, including bespoke courses and accredited DSL training. Rachel also contributes to governance across four schools, offering strategic oversight and expertise in safeguarding practice.
Passionate about ensuring that every child has the right to feel safe, Rachel is a strong advocate for the child’s voice and brings a wealth of safeguarding experience from across the education sector.
