Sian was the Chief Executive Officer of Archway Learning Trust, a vibrant learning community in Nottingham and Derby where young people receive exceptional care, world-class education and every possible opportunity to be successful. Making schools the best places for young people to thrive has been her life long motivation. She began the trust in 2011 and grew it to be eight thriving secondary schools and three (soon to be seven) primary schools.

During her tenure at Archway Learning Trust, Sian held numerous additional roles from supporting local authorities, where she chaired Schools Forum, to working as a member of the Diocesan Board of Education. She was designated a National Leader of Education and currently serves as a RISE Advisor, as well as a member of the Regional Advisory Board. She was a serving Ofsted inspector for five years. The DfE have approached her to mentor new CEOs and she has served as a trustee on a regional networking and training group, Inspiring Leaders. In June 2025 Sian was honoured for her contribution to education with the awarding of an OBE.
