Simon has worked within the education profession in the UK for the past 35 years. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of an 18 school primary multi-academy trust based in Plymouth, the Learning Academies Trust (LAT).

Prior to leading a MAT as a CEO, Simon was a teacher, a deputy head, a headteacher and an executive headteacher of a number of South West schools. Simon also led a cohort 1 ‘National Teaching School’ and was a designated ‘National Leader of Education’.

Additionally on a very part time basis, Simon inspects British International Schools overseas, for a large international charity, The Education Development Trust.

Simon is married with three children and proudly lives in Cornwall.
